It’s time to sing Christmas carols, decorate, watch Hallmark movies, and officially transition to the holiday season. For those familiar with the two of us, you probably know we’ve been doing this for over a month. However, if you’re in Medina, you know very well that today is the Olde Tyme Christmas celebration. If there is an official start to the holiday season, it is undoubtedly today.

For the two of us, today doesn’t just mark the start of our favorite season, it marks the first we’ll spend with Roux. We’ve always talked about the magic of this season and now it’s more than we could’ve imagined. He’s already looked at Christmas trees, watched a couple movies (the modern Grinch is his favorite), and realized how we listen to holiday music non-stop. But today, he gets a small taste of what our Hallmark-esque community is all about.

At this point, you’re well aware that Small Business Saturday in Medina is so much more. It’s a whole day affair. What starts with coffee and shopping, concludes with fireworks, a light parade, and celebratory hot chocolate or cocktails. As we’re bouncing back and forth at the Shirt Factory, here are a couple things to consider for yourself:

Here are the Shirt Factory events, where you’re very likely to see one of us:

Last night (Friday), we launched our 3rd annual holiday inspired cocktail menu. Every cocktail pays homage to one of our favorite Christmas movies, and yes, Die Hard is included. Cocktails return at 3PM.

Saturday, November 27: To kick off our holiday month pop-up, we’re offering specials, holiday inspired menu items, and lots more.

Sunday, November 28: Alix and Chris are launching a new holiday brunch (and cocktail) menu from 10AM – 2PM.

We’re excited and we hope you are too. Not only is this one of our favorite days of the year, but for the first time we get to experience it as parents.

Have a wonderful time in Medina! We know we will.
