Now that Halloween is over, can we talk about the holidays? (Who am I kidding, I’ve been talking about it for more than a month…)

This is my favorite time of year and it’s made better being in an area that spends time and effort perfecting it: the “Hallmark” downtown of Medina is full of perfect places to shop, hang out with friends, and celebrate holiday cheer.

November marks the start of the holiday season and there are plenty of things to do in Medina. It’s time to get your calendars out and make some plans:

1. November 4 – December 23, Canal Village Farmers’ Market Holiday Market, 345 Main Street, 9AM – 1PM

The holiday market is located at 345 Main Street where many of the area’s favorite vendors will be stationed throughout the holiday season to help you with unique shopping and decorations.

2. November 4 Orleans Community Health Foundation’s Treasure Island, White Birch Golf Course, 5PM

Grab your tickets and support Orleans Community Health (Medina Memorial Hospital) by attending this annual event. There’s a basket raffle, auction items, an open bar, and catering from Zambistro.

3. November 9 – 11, Creekside Floral & Design Holiday Open House, 8:30AM – 5:30PM

In addition to Creekside’s annual holiday open house, keep an eye on their Facebook page for holiday inspired classes throughout the holiday season.

4. November 16, Moonlight Madness, Downtown Medina (multiple businesses participating), 6PM – 9PM

Whether you’re in your pajamas or holiday attire, Moonlight Madness is an ideal time to shop around participating businesses for holiday specials. Stay tuned to the Medina Area Partnership for more information on participating stores.

5. November 17, Vinyl Night is BACK! Swing by Leonard Oakes Estate Winery, sip on some wine or Steampunk Cider and get ready for an evening of music and cheer as records spin by Matt Backlas. 6-8pm.

6. November 18, Filomena’s Favorites Holiday Open House, 10AM – 5PM

The store on Rt. 63 will be filled with wreaths, vintage items, greenery, and so much more.

7. November 25, 11th Annual Home for the Holidays 5K, 11AM

Kicking off Medina’s Olde Tyme Christmas, this run begins in the canal basin and raises money for the PAWS Animal Shelter, a wonderful cause for a holiday run!

8. November 25 – 26, The Polar Express Train Ride, Medina Train Museum, 10AM – 7PM

All Aboard! Transport yourself to the popular Polar Express adventure on a journey to meet Santa Claus. Tickets are available and can be purchased here .

9. November 25, Medina’s Olde Tyme Christmas, Downtown Medina

Is there a better day to be in Medina? Holiday specials, decorations, Small Business Saturday, the popular Parade of Lights, and so much more. This will be the first time in years we actually get to watch the parade along Main Street and not from the steps of the Shirt Factory. If you’re interested in spending a memorable day in Medina you can find all of the information at ChristmasinMedina.com.

10. November 30 – December 3, Holiday Open Houses, Downtown Medina

Following the fun of Olde Tyme Christmas, the Medina Area Partnership spends the next weekend promoting businesses and specials through holiday open houses. Find some memorable gifts and stocking stuffers during this period, as well as new menu launches (oh heyyyyy there, Shirt Factory!!) and other seasonal events.

Ok, off to decorate the house. Wishing you all a wonderful season in Medina, and wherever you may be. Cheers!
