First of all, the outpouring of love, support and well-wishes this week has BLOWN US AWAY. Though I think we are still hovering over our bodies in a state of shock as we prepare for this move, the ability to share it here has helped us see it as real. What I can’t wrap my head around is the amount of packing that needs to happen, and how many dates we need to cram in before we cease calling ourselves “locals”….

We have set out move date for August 14th. Only a quick 4 weeks away.

So, in the next month, here is what we have planned:

  • Mount Vernon tour
  • Night stroll through the monuments
  • Wine tasting trip through Loudon
  • Screen on the Green!
  • Botanical Garden, American History Museum, Holocaust Museum, and sitting by the Sculpture Garden fountain
  • Cupcake tour/taste-test  through Georgetown
  • Evening walk through Old Town and the Waterfront
  • Eastern Market Farmer’s Market
  • DC Minute Happy Hour!
  • The Arboretum

What have we missed? Of course this doesn’t include the laundry list of places we want to eat again before we head north, but that’s a different post for a different day :)
