Area Events: It’s Time to Pack Your Schedule
It’s November 15th, one week until Thanksgiving. You’re reading the title above thinking that your schedule is packed; not a spare second for anything more. Well, it’s time to make room. Even before December arrives, the area is offering more than its fair share of events, specials, and seasonal festivities.
Whether it’s a night out, evening shopping, or a giant light parade, Medina has plenty to offer. Here’s a look at the next week:
November 15: Join Mile 303 and Sourced Market and Eatery as they partner with Liten Buffel in Middleport. The 6 course wine pairing dinner is guaranteed to impress, because let’s be honest, both of these places are crafting pure excellence. Add in the wine pairings, and the fact that the entire meal will be cooked over an open fire and there is no excuse to miss this event. Ticket information can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sourced-mile-303-at-liten-buffel-tickets-52434126885
November 15: Pull out your warmest PJs and head to Medina for Moonlight Madness. The event runs from 6pm-9pm, but there’s no excuse to not stop by one of the many restaurants to grab dinner before things kickoff. You’ll find pre-holiday sales, opportunities to buy Wine About Winter tickets, and even a raffle that includes over $200 worth of local business gift cards. Don’t let the hint of a little snow get in the way for an evening on Main Street Medina!
November 17: It’s time for Midnight Tacos with Mariachi De Oro at Mile 303. Tacos begin at 10pm, and includes some of our favorite people collaborating on an amazing late night event.
November 21: The night of Thanksgiving Eve parties will ready you for a feast. If you’re thinking of organizing a Medina bar crawl, this is the perfect chance. 810 Meadworks is releasing an extremely limited pumpkin spice mead, that will only be available in tastings, full pours, and growlers (bring your own). DJ JT will be on hand to keep the celebrations going, beginning at 7pm. After trying some exclusive mead it’s time to head over to Mile 303 as they’re also hosting a celebration to get the long weekend started. And of course, Shirt Factory will be slinging cocktails on the last night of the fall cocktail menu before the Christmas pop-up!
November 24: It’s all about the Parade of Lights! An annual events that the whole region anticipates. This year marks the 10th Annual Old Tyme Christmas celebration in Medina and includes a showing of Elf, fireworks, workshops, discounts, the launch of a month long Christmas bar, and much more. If you’re going to spend one day in Medina, here it is.
We also want to give a special mention to Andrew Szatkowski as he’s looking to build upon his successful toy drive from a year ago. Thanks to Andrew, 500 local children saw a better Christmas. If you can give a little extra this season, here’s something we’d recommend.
For us, this is the most exciting time of year. A year ago, we knew we’d be the next owners of the Shirt Factory. We immediately began thinking about Medina’s Old Tyme Christmas and how we could launch a month long Christmas bar to go along with the season. The next week is going to be hectic. We’re opening the cocktail bar for a Thanksgiving Eve party at 3pm, while some of us begin decorating the back area. We’re closed on Thanksgiving and Black Friday to complete the transition. On Saturday, November 24, we’ll be reopening at 8am with decorations, holiday specials, and the “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” Christmas Coffee and Cocktail Bar. We’ll see you at the Shirt Factory and hopefully all around Medina in the coming weeks!
