February Favorites

This month, albeit short, was incredibly busy. We ate ourselves senseless, but experienced what we believe is some of the best food DC has to offer. Though we went out quite a lot, we enjoyed date nights IN and a couple amazing theater performances. Check out our photo gallery for our February Favorites…
- At the beginning of February, we finally got to enjoy Agua301, a perfect Date Night spot at the Riverfront in DC. (Photo Credit: Fredde Lieberman)
- Taking advantage of Alexandria Restaurant Week, we found ourselves at Brabo and could not believe how amazing their RW menu was – delicious!
- We were blown away, once again, by MetroStage and the talent of all involved. Bessie’s Blues runs through March 15th!Credit: Chris Banks
- Our winter months are full of date nights IN, which always include guacamole and red wine.
- We had one of our favorite dishes, the Bacon Brussel Sprouts on our mid-month date night at Copperwood Tavern in Shirtlington.
- We were blown away by the talent of McLean High School thespians in their musical adaptation of Big Fish.
- We were impressed by the new Test Kitchen offered through March 31 at Zengo in DC. We love the concept – Mexico to Korea!
- We had one warm day, which found us on the roof for the first time in 2015.
- Excited to preview Oyamel’s Tequila & Mezcal Festival which runs through March 15th – don’t miss it!
- Casa Luca in DC amazed us with their new brunch menu – all fantastic Italian brunch dishes which we highly recommend!
- Finally, Old Man Winter came to DC and Al got to enjoy a snow day. Maybe a freak storm in March??
- Ivan felt the love in Febraury, as Valentine’s Day came and went, but kisses were given all month long.
- We finally made it to Founding Farmers in DC – and can’t say enough good thing about it. We are already trying to find a time to go back!
- Scott surprised Al with her favorite flowers (purple tulips!) at school.
- We bought a table! Our first meal was pho from Caphe Banh Mi in Old Town, Alexandria.
- Had an amazing sneak peak at the soon to open SER in Ballston – can’t wait for the opening in the beginning of March!
- Our last date night of the month was spent at Ambar on Barracks Row in DC. The entire evening was magical – great food, great service, and just the two of us.
Already excited to see what March has in store for us now!
