A Weekend to Remember
Since last May (or maybe before), Scott has been planning our November 9th weekend. Though it originally started as talk about a couple tickets to the Syracuse vs. Maryland game, it quickly expanded to an entire weekend with friends and family. My sister met my best friend in Syracuse and they made the trip south for the weekend, which by far made my weekend.
Boyfriend + Sister + Best Friend = Perfection.
Though I will cover the tailgating and game day in more detail in the next post, some of the best memories I’ll keep from the weekend was walking around this magnificent city with my nearest and dearest.
First, meet my sister:
Adrienne, her first time in Old Town |

Adrienne is 5 years younger than I am, and apparently won the gene lottery. She is as gorgeous as my mother and a spitting image in some of these photos. However, she has a personality all her own…
Erica is one of my very best friends. We met in college at Syracuse University and though geography separated us for a few years, we reconnected last year and have become as thick as thieves again. Love this girl. She makes my life infinitely better.
Erica in Old Town, while I experience massive hair envy. This girl has perfect locks. |
And then, of course, there is Scott. Whom you know, of course. But what you don’t see are the random moments when this man cheeses it up and makes life worth living. He keeps me laughing, which at almost 30 years old, I’ve discovered is the secret to making it work.
Keeping it classy in Old Town. After brunch nap, apparently. |

The weekend couldn’t have been better, even though my sister was sick most the time. You couldn’t tell it from the pictures, but the kleenex trail she left in Old Town was evidence enough.
I few more random pictures from our Sunday afternoon in Alexandria…
Next up?? Trippin around the monuments and tailgating in Maryland :)
