Friday Minutes: Out Like a Lamb…

Hard to believe that a week ago we were completely under 2 feet of snow. Today I consider to be quintessential late March in WNY: gray, mild, and muddy. But that’s ok, because I have a series of links that should brighten your day!

(and SHAMELESS PLUG, WNY! I am now on the board for Save-A-Pet of Niagara County, an all-volunteer animal rescue organization. I rescued both Ivan and Miah from SAP, and this Sunday is the Annual Basket Raffle Fundraiser, 12-3pm at the Niagara County Fairgrounds – would love to see you there and supporting a great cause!)

Um, did Lucy (of Write. Style. Travel) say AVOCADO?? she did. And I’m obsessed with the recipe and thinking about a recreation for Sunday brunch.

Kacy had a quick 48 hours in Austin, and now I’m thinking Scott and I need a whirlwind vacation. Check out her recap on Bad Sentences.

Local Restaurant Week is in full swing and will continue through the weekend – Step Out Buffalo has a list of OG Restaurants that would love your support!

I have to say, Scott and I are more excited than ever to become homeowners as we watch Sarah (Pastiche) renovate their new digs. Check out their current living room situation (and prepare to drool….)

The Nittany Epicurean is back with his One Dish series, exploring Carmelo’s in Lewiston and their Risotto di Mare. Annnnd now I’m craving risotto.

An exciting event is in the work (a live photo shoot event) and Nickel City Pretty has all the details on her blog! Snag your tickets, Buffalo.

I’m taking a few (or several!) tips from Bailey this week on photo styling. Check out her myths debunked on her blog, Bits of Bay.

The results are in!!! Bar Bill won Buffalo Eat’s epic Chicken Wing Tournament of 2017. And we heard a pizza tournament is in the works….

We have a busy weekend ahead of us, but are excited to see those temps get higher as we welcome spring to WNY. Tell us, what does everyone have planned for the weekend? Cheers!
