Friday Minutes: Buffalo Blogger Edition
What a bizarre week. The only reading I did was political, and that had me bumming hardcore. In fact, as I mentioned in my post yesterday, I spent all of Wednesday in bed and had every intention of skipping the Buffalo Blogging Network get -together at Buffalo Riverworks on Wednesday night.
But rather than stay in bed, Scott and my mom joined forces and had me clean up my face, put on real clothes, and drive to Buffalo to meet (who I am now positive, will be) incredible friends.
In DC, bloggers come out of the woodwork by the day. Food bloggers? Dozens and dozens. Fashion, lifestyle, travel – you name it. We were one in hundreds of blogs, all competing for the same thing. But here in WNY, the community of men and women who are putting their heart and soul into creating a platform to document the renaissance that is happening is truly incredible.
So without further ado, a few noteworthy articles this week, brought to you by members of the Buffalo Blogging Network:
Jessica and I were on the same page this week regarding the election, but what I love is that she updated this post on TracingPaper to reflect ongoing conversation.
We now have added a trip to Seattle on our Travel Bucket List thanks to this recap of Taylor’s trip out West on In the Buff.
Art is inspiring, and we think everyone could use a dose this week. Check out Buffalo’s newest city mural on Lindsay’s blog, Nickel City Pretty.
Street style just got hotter in Boston! NK spent last weekend finding amazing spots in the city to show off her bold style, but proves denim on denim can rock on NKM Styling.
Clearly you have never seen a beauty post from me, and now I can direct you straight to the source! Lucy reveals her wishlist for the Sephora VIB Holiday Shopping Event on her blog, Write. Style. Travel.
I have a major girl crush on Gaia Amman, thanks to the latest interview on Yeah!Buffalo. I look forward to these posts, and then I write down all of their favorite Buffalo tips and spots. And if you are free tomorrow night, Gaia’s launch party is taking place at Resurgence Brewing for the release of her 4th book! #lifegoals, people.
After meeting Scott on Wednesday, we will officially be glued to AllWNYNews.com. What a fantastic resource for everyone in the Queen City!
Now don’t forget, we will be at the Buffalo Cocktail Classic this Sunday, hoping to see you all there! Just look up, and the tallest guy in the room is usually Scott. We are excited to meet the folks at Step Out Buffalo and thank them for hosting the first of what we hope will be an annual event! Remember, $5 off your ticket with the code, DCMINUTE.
Cheers!!
