Product Review: Alive Juices
IT programmer turned juicer, Rachan Malhotra, started making juices for his father who suffered from a stroke in 2009. Starting with homemade juice from the ancient Indian medicine known as Ayurveda, the recipes have evolved into a variety of different dietary plans to meet your lifestyle needs. The former homemade juices are now made in a government authorized kitchen in Silver Spring, Maryland, and they’re made to deliver to a variety of locations in the DC-metro area.
Though the concept has been around for years, the idea of healthy juices has really picked up steam in recent years. With a variety of tasting options we went for the recommended Taste ’em All (8 flavors), this plan will run about $59 for the 8 juices (20% off the regular price), and is delivered without any additional costs. Each juice is around 200 calories and keeps you full for about 5 hours, while providing a variety of health benefits.
The other juice plans available are for weight loss, cleanses, as well as nutritional programs that can last from a week to a year. Each juice varies in flavor and ingredients, our favorites were the Positive Karma (includes cilantro and cucumber) and the Detox Mantra (includes carrots, kale, and cilantro).
If you’re looking to give some juices or other nutritional vitamins a try, consider Alive Juices. They’ll be delivered right to your door making for a far easier process than visiting your local health store. With the holidays upon us, this could be the perfect New Year’s resolution.
