Date Night: Rose’s Luxury
Al’s 30th birthday will be long known as the birthday I spent in Las Vegas, on a work trip. Yep that’s right, for those of you who didn’t see it mentioned earlier, my job’s annual conference ran right through Al’s 30th birthday. Since I was missing her actual birthday, I needed to pick a place for dinner on the next night, that a boyfriend would take his girlfriend after missing her birthday. Enter, Roses Luxury!
I’m sure you’re not going to be surprised to hear, we thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the drinks at this Barracks Row hotspot. I’m also pretty sure we aren’t the first people to say you should check this restaurant out. The truth is, we’ve read all the same reviews you have, so we couldn’t wait another day to see what Rose’s Luxury had to offer. Knowing they don’t take reservations we opted for an earlier dinner date, and to our luck we were able to get a table right away. Even before the food came out, and our waiter greeted us, we were in awe over the ambiance. From the brick interior, that we often share our love for, to the lights hanging from the ceiling, this dining spot put to reality what we would desire in a small plate and cocktails hang out. Additionally, the silverware, plates, and glasses, all looked as though you pulled them out of your mother’s cupboard, which showed a high level of comfort, as would a home cooked meal at home.
As usual, we opted for several smaller dishes rather than going for either of the family-style dishes. Our favorites included the Ricotta Stuffed Gnocchi and the Pickle Brined Fried Chicken Honey & Benne Seed. The gnocchi likely took the top spot for us, but the crust on the chicken was undeniably delicious. Make sure to say yes when they offer you the fresh bread, however be careful it’s easy to load up on. The food was delicious and judging by how fast the tables around us filled up, it was obvious others agreed too.
With the warm, family-style feel of this location, we are hopeful to see some additional menu items in the near future. We left thinking of different items we could see working well here and then hoping we’d see them soon so we could rush back.
If you haven’t stopped by yet, what in the world are you waiting for??? It’s a great dinner date location, but certainly don’t hold back from suggesting this location to friends for a couple cocktails either.
Cheers!
