Friday Minutes: Labor Day Weekend is Here!

The weekend that is synonymous with the end of summer is upon us. Kayaking, cook outs, back-to-school shopping, and one final relaxing weekend. For us, the next couple of days will also include cleaning up our blog to get our speed and mobile categories back in order.

With our blog in a temporary slowdown, we’ve had plenty of time to read what everyone else has been posting for another Friday Minutes. As always, Friday Minutes is a look at some articles and posts that caught our attention. If there are blogs you think we should be keeping an eye on, please let us know.

Western New York Articles:

The City Paper also takes a look inside this Geneva restaurant that’s been gaining attention for months.

Of course Buffalo would include a 5K with the National Buffalo Wing Festival. Buffalo Rising has the details.

Though the post is from June, we wanted to remind everyone the Niagara Wine Trail is continuing to grow. Nittany Epicurean has the scoop.

Washington, DC Area Articles:

The Washingtonian has a look at a new DC brunch, and it’s a little more about what you’ll see rather than how the Eggs Benedict are prepared.

A great question in posed in the Washington City Paper: Can places known for their nightlife also be respected for their food?

DC Area Blogs:
