Restaurant specials accompany just about every holiday weekend in the Washington, DC area, and this month is no different. From Columbus Day brunch to Halloween and Day of the Dead specials, you’ll have plenty to keep you busy in the coming weeks.

Halloween Restaurant Specials:

Before you head to costume parties, here are some Halloween restaurant specials taking place around the area.

El Centro D.F. will kick-off Halloween festivities at their two locations on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31 (Georgetown at 9pm and 14th Street at 10pm). Food and drink specials will accompany a costume and social media contest, so prepare for a competition. 

Masa 14 will offer a Mexican Halloween brunch on Saturday, October 31 from 10am-3pm. Make sure to wear your costume and be active on social media, because prizes/awards will be announced on November 2 and we’d hate to hear you missed an opportunity.

Station 4 is your festive and seasonal beer destination this Halloween with the Great Lakes Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest, Dogfish Head’s Pumpkin Ale, Bell’s Brewery’s English Brown Ale, and the Evil Genius Beer Company’s Trick or Treat all for $5! 

Ambar introduces their lunch menu this month, and from October 26 through November 1 they will be serving a jack-o-lantern shaped sandwich for only $6!

Do you still love candy corn? If so, Cuba Libre Restaurant and Rum Bar has created a Candy Corn Martini available all month for $10. Stop in and let us know how it is.

Magnolia’s on King, the location of the next #DCMinuteHH, is offering a special Spirits of Alexandria’s Passed cocktail from October 27 through November 1. The drink is a twist on George Washington’s famous Cherry Bounce and can be found later this month for $14. Maybe we’ll try it during happy hour on October 29!

If you really want to splurge for a special occasion, the Hay Adams Hotel is offering their Transylvania Suite package for $2,995 per night (available October 30 and 31). The package includes a completely decorated room and bedding, a 3-course meal served in the room, themed cocktails, a “creepy crawly spider-themed” dessert, several old and new scary movies, and a surprise before the night is over. The next morning guests will enjoy breakfast in bed alone with the Bloody Scary cocktail. Please let us know if you try this!

Day of the Dead:

This year, Rosa Mexicano will be holding Day of the Dead festivities from October 30 through November 2. During the period, a special cocktail and dinner menu consisting of Guacamole de Granada, Enchiladas de Mole Blanco, Buñuelos Rellenos, and Flor de Mezcal cocktail.
