Living in an area such as DC it’s not uncommon to hear someone or some place screaming about “can’t miss events”. It’s our turn this time, because we’ve got a series of events that deserve a place on your calendars. Dining Out for Life is on Thursday (tomorrow) and food trucks, craft beers, and Maryland Day are all lining up for this Saturday.

If you’re hoping to get caught up on TV shows the next several days – just stop! It’s spring – which means get out and enjoy the final weekend of April!

Have you chosen the perfect restaurant or bar stool for tomorrow? Dining Out for Life is returning to nearly 100 DC-area locations giving you the perfect excuse to start the weekend early. Enjoy your dinner and drinks knowing the location’s profits are going toward an excellent cause.

Returning this Saturday for it’s 4th year, Washington, DC’s 50 top food trucks will be competing for the coveted Mayor’s Cup, and the eventual brawl with the winners from Philadelphia and Baltimore. Storey Park (1005 First Street NE) will host the Taste of Three Cities, with VIP access running 11am-9pm and general admission starting one hour later (12pm).  This foodie must event will give a portion of the proceeds to benefit the DC Central Kitchen. The growing list of food trucks includes BonMi, DC Slices, Midnite Confections Cupcakery, DC Taco Truck, and many many more. For additional information about the event and tickets, visit www.tasteofthreecities.com. SEE YOU THERE!

Are you heading to Maryland this weekend? This Saturday, Maryland Day is returning from 10am-4pm with a day packed full of family-friendly and festival-style events. The event is held at the University of Maryland and gives attendees the chance to explore the transformed campus and all it has to offer. Young adults will enjoy a band concert on the lawn, a performance from UMD’s Blaze dance team, a horse barn, laser tag, and lots of food! Adults should prepare themselves for the famous wind tunnel, a challenge course, autograph sessions with top UMD basketball players, and so much more. If you’re looking for a family-friendly event – this is it!

Calling all craft beer enthusiasts. The second annual Shirlington Capitol City Brewing Company’s Mid-Atlantic Spring Beer Festival is coming this Saturday! From 12pm-7pm, 35 breweries will be offering up some of their most popular beers to all those who can squeeze in. Capitol City Brewing Company, Mad Fox, Devils Backbone, Three Brothers, Starr Hill, Port City, Fair Winds, DC Brau and many more are guaranteed to be in attendance, along with several dishes from neighboring restaurants.  Tickets can be purchased for $30, which includes 10 drink tickets. Additional drink tickets can be purchased for $1 each (5 ticket minimum). DDs enter the event for free.

There’s so much more happening this weekend, but these are the can’t miss events we think you need to check out.
