Who said all holiday meals around DC need to be home cooked? Not only are the holidays a time for family and friends, but it’s also a time to spend eating incredible food. Several DC restaurants are stepping it up again this holiday season and adding special menu options, prices, and events to their calendar.

Here are some suggestions for your holiday meals around DC:

Where: 2941 Restaurant
Highlights: A festive four course prix fixe menu is being offered with Filet Mignon and Gingerbread Parfait catching our attention. The menu is being offered for $85 a person with reservations required.  Children under 12 can dine for $25.
Date: Christmas Eve from 3pm-10pm (if you dine between 3:30pm-4:30pm you will get $10 off each meal)

Where: Water & Wall
Highlights: 1/2 bottles of wine on Christmas day!
Date: Christmas Eve 11am-2pm and 5pm-9pm, then on Christmas for brunch/lunch (11am-2pm) and dinner (2pm-9pm)

Where: Maple Ave Restaurant
Highlights: 1/2 bottles of wine on Christmas day!
Date: Christmas Eve 11am-2pm and 5pm-9pm, then on Christmas for brunch (11am-2pm) and dinner (2pm-9pm)

Where: Commissary DC
Highlights: 12 Days of Commissary offers unique promotions each day to celebrate the holidays. On December 22nd, Commissary will be hosting Latkepalooza, an all you can eat latke and fried doughnut bar for $15 from 6pm-8pm with 10% of the proceeds going to the Jewish Food Experience

Where: America Eats Tavern, Tysons Corner
Highlights: Signature brunch items, a cookie buffet ($12) and a Roast Roseda Prime Rib dinner ($39) will all highlight your Christmas morning.
Date: Christmas Day, 7am-2:30pm

Where: Jaleo
Highlights: The Clementina festival, the “Christmas Orange”, will be highlighted in several dishes at all 3 DC restaurant locations.
Dates: December 15-28 (Jaleo is closed on Christmas Day)

Where: Blue Duck Tavern
Highlights: The three course Christmas Day brunch is highlighted with  Shrimp and Grits as well as Roasted Black Bass. The menu is available for $100 and $45 for children 6-12.
Dates: Christmas Eve (al la carte) 5:30pm-10:30pm, Christmas Day 11:30am-9pm

Where: Lupo Verde
Highlights: The fish and pasta meal consists of 7 dishes for $85, the homemade spaghetti is a can’t miss.
Dates: Christmas Eve 5pm-11pm

Where: Ulah Bistro
Highlights: The three-course, prix fixe menu will be served for $40 with highlights that include a Lobster Pot Pie and Strawberry Tart.
Dates: Christmas Eve 4pm-midnight

Where: Station 4
Highlights: The three-course, prix fixe menu will be served for $40 with highlights including Cream of Butternut Squash Soup and Homemade Lobster Raviolis.
Dates: Christmas Eve 5pm-11pm

Where: Bibiana Osteria-Enoteca
Highlights: The meatless menu includes Seared Cod, Black Spaghetti, and Fried Shrimp, all for $65 a person.
Dates: Christmas Eve 5pm-930pm

Where: Copperwood Tavern
Highlights: With menu items ranging from $6-$31 there are several can’t miss plates from the 12oz Grass Fed NY Strip to the Red Quinoa Red Peppers.
Dates: Christmas Eve 11am-4pm and 5pm-11pm

Where: Et Voila!
Highlights: The classic Belgian French bistro is showcasing specials ranging from $10-$28, which includes a Lobster Cocktail and Buche de Noel holiday dessert.
Dates: Open regular hours on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

Where: Old Ebbit Grill
Highlights: One of the most well known restaurants in DC will be offering their regular menu along with holiday specials all day. Specials range from $16.95-$27.95 and include Roast Prime Rib on Beef and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes.
Dates: Christmas Eve 7:30am-2am

Where: The Hamilton
Highlights: A combination of the al la carte menu and holiday specials will be showcased on Christmas Eve, ranging from $5-$59. Festive highlights include Lobster Bisque, Prime Rib Roast, and a classic House-made Christmas Ham. For dessert there are several milkshakes that can include alcohol, the Toasted Marshmallow and Pumpkin Spice sound like must-haves during the holiday season.
Dates: Christmas Eve 11am-1am

Where: Ardeo+Bardeo
Highlights: In addition to the al la carte menu, specials include a Roasted Butternut Squash Soup, Crispy Brussels Sprouts Salad, and Berkshire Pork Chop and for dessert there’s a delicious Egg Nog Créme Brûlee.
Dates: Christmas Eve 5pm-9pm

Where: nopa + Kitchen Bar
Highlights: Holiday specials include a Grilled Moulard Duck Breast and Pan Roasted Lamb Loin along with several seasonal dessert options.
Dates: Christmas Eve 5:30pm-9pm

Where: Red Velvet Cupcakery
Highlights: Holiday specials are being offered throughout the month: Gingerbread Cupcake (now-December 18th), Flourless Chocolate Cupcake (December 19-25), and a Hot Buttered Rum Cupcake (December 26-January 1). Cupcakes are $3.25 each and $36 per dozen.

Where: Astro Doughnuts and Fried Chicken
Highlights: The Christmas, Hanukkah, and New Year’s celebratory boxes of festive doughnuts are available for $20 each.  The boxes can include flavors such as Créme Brûlée, Maple Bacon, Nutella Peppermint, and many more holiday favorites.
Dates: Christmas Box is available in stores on 12/19, 20, and 24 and can be pre-ordered up until the 24th. The Hanukkah box is available 12/16, 19, 20 for pre-order with limited supplies in stores. The New Year’s box will be available on 12/31 for pre-orders with limited supplies in stores. 

Where: DBGB
Highlights: Guests can indulge with a 3-course prix fixe tasting menu for $65 and $35 for children. Additionally, the al la carte menu will be available for all those not interested in the tasting menu. The Squash Soup and Roasted Duck Breast and two favorites you can’t miss.

Where: Rosa Mexicano
Highlights: $35 prix fixe menu that includes guacamole for the table and churros for dessert, entrées include a Roasted Turkey with Huitlacoche Stuffing and a wonderful sounding Maine Lobster Ceviche
Dates: Christmas Eve and Day

Where: Pinea
Highlights: Regular menu offerings in addition to some Southern-European themed dishes that include the appetizer Feast of Seven Fishes (one of which is the Bay Scallops Escabeche), Duck Duck Goose entrée (includes the Goose Breast and Duck Confit), and the La Buche de Noel for dessert.
