Though we eat tortilla chips like its our job, the luck we’ve had working with the Food Should Taste Good group has been incredible. However, the opportunity to host a get together in which to spread our new favorite product was icing on the cake.
This past Saturday, we opened up our digs to a few friends for what we had hoped would be a gorgeous day to celebrate the gorgeous autumn season, great friends and delicious food. We scored two out of three, as the weather turned grey and the wind pushed is inside as the roof became unbearable. Still, great food and friends meant a wonderful evening.
Scott and I have fallen in love with the Food Should Taste Good products, so the bulk of our menu planning was designed around the flavors we were eager to share with our friends. Of course we bought the guacamole flavor (duh), but we also adore the multigrain, blue corn tortilla, and our personal favorite – the sweet potato chips.
We made spinach artichoke dip, and had a full Oktoberfest menu complete with brats, potato salad, and Scott’s homemade fresh soft pretzels. DELICIOUS. Throughout the evening, about ten of our friends indulged on our spread complete with a variety of pumpkin and Oktoberfest seasonal beers. All we were missing was a pair of lederhosen for Scott – but don’t worry, I’ll procure some for next year :)
The popular consensus from our friends was that they LOVED the chips, and those who aren’t already frequent purchasers of the product can’t wait to get their hands on them! Overall, the sweet potato chips were the most popular, with the blue corn tortilla coming in at a close second. We laughed and drank well into the night, and were pleased to have been able to delight a bit in the autumn season with a great party.
