Well now that the World Cup is finished we can officially get back to counting down until football season. Even with all of the travel that many of you are doing, or getting ready to do, the DC area is certainly not sleeping. If you can pull yourself away from the pool this week there are several things to check out.

news-1

Monday: To celebrate National Mac & Cheese Day everyone should head to STK and try out their Lobster Mac ‘n Cheese. STK launched their lunch menu last week, so there is plenty of reasons to head in. Also tonight, and running through the 21st, Et Voila! will be celebrating Belgian National Day. Guests can take advantage of Executive Chef/Owner Claudio Pirollo’s 3-course, prix fixe menu paired with Belgian beers for a great $39.95 per person. Now if it’s been a long weekend and you need to relax remember both the Bachelorette and the finale of 24 are on.

Tuesday: ]For the beer lovers out there, Union Street Public House will be hosting their summer beer dinner for $49 from 7pm-10pm, with beverages from Forge Brew Works.

Thursday: City Tap House, the craft beer-focused restaurant on 9th street in DC, is celebrating an “Ode to Philly Night” with a Yards Brewing Company tap takeover tonight. The Philadelphia craft brewery specializes in British-inspired Pale Ale with a Philadelphia twist. Samplings of the signature and seasonal beers will be available from 5pm-close.

Friday: Another summer week down and so many places to check out. If you’re looking for dinner plans check out Estadio in Logan Circle. We finally were able to make our way over there, and it ranks up in our favorite meals as of late. The gin & tonics alone are worth a trip to the bar.

Enjoy the week!
