Though showers are expected to roll into the area, that’s no excuse to not find a warm bar to enjoy the World Cup festivities kicking off tomorrow (get it, kicking because it’s soccer? Cheap shot).

This July we’re looking forward to two new additions to the Washington, DC list of must-go places.

First, James Beard winning chef Jose Garces will be opening an Argentinian Steakhouse named Rural Society. It will be located in the Loews Madison Hotel taking the place of the Federalist that closed last year. For those unfamiliar with Garces, it’s time you take a look and get excited for his first DC restaurant. Not only are we excited for the restaurant, but also for a childhood friend of ours who’ll be working there. So we’re wishing everyone involved the best of luck.

Another opening that has piqued our interest is the 1920’s themed Charlie Chaplin cocktail bar. We both love vintage cocktails already, so hearing that the menu will include vintage cocktails  has us very excited.  They will be located at 1501 9th St NW, and are planning to open sometime this summer. Both an 83 seat dining room and patio, open during warmer months, will be a part of this must-see location.

Go USA and remember to call your Dad this weekend!
