That’s what this morning is like in a small apartment in Alexandria.

I haven’t been to work in….awhile. After getting home late and nursing my poor old lady back, I took yesterday off to rest and put my life back together before launching back into the classroom.

(And do all the planning I should have done over break…)

We all know how it is harder to go back the longer you have off – and I should have taken that all into consideration.

And then other schools started toying with my emotions when they all started closing yesterday afternoon in advance of today’s freezing temps. My heart fluttered, my mind was at ease, and angels sang. Pretty sure. But my school?? Two hour delay.

Grrrr.

So though I have this morning to leisurely sip my coffee, I am constantly gazing at the clock, watching the minutes of my Christmas break dwindle to absolutely nothing. Back to the grindstone.

Stay warm all, wherever you are, and keep your fingers crossed that I make it through the day unscathed and that my students don’t smell fresh, relaxed, meat.

Happy (freezing) Tuesday!
